In an exclusive collaboration with PAGODA RED, each hand-studded piece by artist the bms. was transformed from a provincial 19th-century artifact into a one-of-a-kind work of art. Embellishing with silver and gold thumbtacks, the bms. adds a contemporary twist to our storied objects, animating each surface with bold and provocative designs. This daisy tote was originally a Qing-dynasty grain bucket from Hebei province, carried by means of a burden bar resting on the shoulders. Marked by the artist's golden touch, the bucket is re-imagined as a fantastic sculptural vessel, gilded with trailing vines dotted with daisy blossoms. We love this updated look as an unexpected way to hold firewood, magazines, or anything you want stored beautifully.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
