Dated to the late 19th century, this silver charm ring was believed to protect the wearer from bad luck and malevolent spirits. The ring is patterned in low relief with intricate scrollwork and butterflies, symbols of joy and happiness. Three thin chains hang down from the ring, each bearing small decorative charms and tassel-like ends.
