Extracting images, logos and slogans from popular culture, Spanish artist Almudena Rodriguez rearranges disparate signs on hand-sewn fabrics in an attempt to map out a single vision determined not by original context but through aesthetic thought. United by lines of delicate sheet music, this mixed media work entitled “LULLABY" layers childlike images across multiple stretches of fabric, creating a sense of dream-like wonder and asking the viewer to stretch their understanding of style, meaning, and perception.
