Upon discovering a weathered steel drum that had been warped to resemble the sleeve of a garment, Atlanta-based artist Gordon Chandler was inspired to embark on a series of kimono sculptures formed from found metal scraps. This "Tiny Tot" jacket sculpture is a miniature version of his larger, wall-mounted kimono works and is comprised of a single piece of folded sheet metal. Manipulating rigid materials to behave like silken fabrics, Chandler exploits the latent beauty of rusted and weathered metals to create compositions full of texture and character.

The artist's initials have been stamped into the collar of the jacket sculpture in place of a garment label.

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
