"Obscured Text lV" Kite by Michael Thompson

"Obscured Text IV" is a kite by Chicago based artist, Michael Thompson. He creates unique kites crafted from split bamboo frames covered with stretched muslin and a collage of vintage Asian ephemera—including kimonos, obis, paintings, scrolls, drawings, and book pages collected on his travels. Michael Thompson has been creating kites for more than a decade. His kites have been exhibited internationally.
