This early 20th-century teak cabinet from the northern Chinese port city of Tianjin has strong colonial influences attributable to the Europeans living in the region at the time. Given the cabinet's shallow depth and unusual glass-paneled doors, it was likely designed to accommodate books or display precious objects. Shown here in a stacked position, the top and bottom sections of this cabinet can actually be separated, and are especially versatile with adjustable interior shelves.
