Created in Mongolia for general household storage, this 19th-century coffer has a straightforward design with lots of rustic appeal. Originally configured to open at the top, the chest was modified with front-facing doors by our carpenters skilled in traditional joinery. The coffer reflects the no-nonsense style favored by a culture long rooted in a nomadic and horse-focused lifestyle. Its Shaker-like simplicity fits right into the modern home as a sideboard or credenza.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
