These petite tables may have originally been used as seats in a traditional Chinese home. Their small stature allowed them to be easily moved inside or out. The legs combine to form the image of three butterflies in flight; a popular representation for young lovers floating joyfully together. In over twenty years of collecting this is the first pair of such tables we've come across - an apt representation of the symbolism inherent to the forms.
