Lucky Eight Weavers Bench

This bench was originally created over a century ago to be used by weavers in China’s Anhui Province. It's height is ideally suited for sitting near a loom. The gradation of finish on the solid Northern Elm top indicates where a weaver would have sat. The legs sprawl beautifully, forming a silhouette on each end that recalls the Chinese character for the number eight. The braces between the legs were designed to keep feet up and off chilly floors.
