Provincial Time Out Stool

Dated to the turn of the century, this provincial stool would have been used throughout a courtyard home as versatile everyday seating. The stool has a rectangular seat supported by four round legs linked with double stretchers and simple spandrels. Textured by a century of use, the stool's original dark finish has faded beautifully with time to reveal the light brown elmwood beneath. Translated for today, we can't help but picture this stool as the proverbial place for a time out!
