This 19th century table is styled with lyrical lines and classical proportions. It is easily identified by its arched and curved apron and the beautifully balanced sword shape of its lower legs. Incense stick beading raised in relief runs along the center of each leg, rising from the base. This elegant table would have originally been used in a traditional Chinese home as an incense stand, for serving wine or for displaying potted landscapes or other collectibles.
