Designed in 1957 for Knoll International, the Tulip base pedestal table was Finnish designer Eero Saarinen's solution to the "ugly, confusing, unrestful world" beneath tables and chairs. Replacing the "slum of legs" seen in traditional designs, a single pedestal base supports an expansive oval tabletop for a clean-lined, modernist form.

The white Tulip base of this vintage dining table was original to the 1960s, and has been paired with a contemporary Knoll tabletop finished in soft, golden yellow leather. A gorgeous example of midcentury furniture design, this vintage Saarinen table is the embodiment of balance and simplicity.
