This early 20th-century round-top stool from China's Shanxi province is beautiful in its simplicity. The stool's elmwood seat was rift-sawn to reveal grain patterns running parallel to the surface, the deep grooves accentuated by a century of use. The round seat is balanced by three legs that bow outwards, lending the piece an animated, life-like quality. Whether used as a seat, pedestal or side table, we love this versatile stool for its playful silhouette and well-worn texture.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
