Magnificent floral, cloud-like ruyi—abstracts of a Chinese mushroom—dominate the sides of this ironwood waterfall table. Ironwood, a naturally rich, deep brown color, is named for its heft and strength. Ruyi have been revered as Chinese symbols of knowledge and authority for thousands of years. Delicately carved dragon spandrels support the table's solid top and a gentle scroll finishes each side. A table of this proportion was likely used by a scholar for viewing or creating scroll paintings.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
