With no stretchers or spandrels, this elegant console table forms one continuous ribbon. Dated to the early 20th century, the narrow table would have been the ideal size for displaying unfurled scrolls or precious decorative objects. Cloaked in dark lacquer, the table's clean lines are interrupted only by side cut-outs in the shape of auspicious ruyi, symbols of good fortune.
