Made of warm toned walnut, this 19th-century low table streamlines the meandering vine motif seen in traditional Chinese scrollwork in a dramatically curved apron and legs. Its low profile calls attention to the floating panel top. Appearing in many examples of Chinese furniture, the top is composed of separate panels that are intended to expand and contract as weather and climate dictate, keeping the surface from splitting and preserving the integrity of the table for generations of use.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
