This unusual stone pedestal is actually a 19th-century cylindrical mill stone. Hand-carved of solid limestone with a textured and ribbed surface, the stone was used to grind grain and nuts in a wind or watermill in China's Shanxi province. Shortened for use as a seat or side table, the stone has a minimalist form that blends effortlessly into any interior.
