This inset leg lacquered table was intended for practical purposes in a 19th century Chinese courtyard home--the display of antiques, flowers, incense or books. It is designed with nearly perfect classical proportions with the addition of the arched leg supports that add an unusual flair. Covered with it's original lacquer that has aged beautifully with time, this table conveys the understated elegance that Ming furniture is well-known for. Masterful mortise and tenon joinery hold it together flawlessly, without the use of nails or screws.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
