This wonderfully light and balanced early 19th century lacquered table is elegantly proportioned. The geometric apron and stretchers are supported with gilt coin shapes and the ridged legs resemble the form of chrysanthemum blossoms. The table maintains its original rich black lacquer finish. Masterful mortise and tenon construction join it together seamlessly, without the use of nails or screws.
