A vine motif scrolls along the apron of this 19th-century altar table crafted in China's Henan province. The table was constructed with northern elmwood using mortise-and-tenon joinery techniques, without the use of nails or screws, and cloaked in a striking dark brown finish. A beaded trim along the apron and drawers provides subtle decoration to the table's otherwise minimal design. Originally used as an altar for ancestor worship, the expansive table now accents modern interiors with its striking silhouette.

“I am particularly fond of PAGODA RED as we have known the family for so long. Betsy is a professional in every way and her intelligent taste comes from a long line of family knowledge in the arts. She and her team are the very best to work with and we find treasures with every visit!”
