With no stretchers or spandrels, this low table flows like a ribbon, rounding the bend to form waterfall legs that end in scrolled feet. On each of its bench-style legs, an auspicious carved ruyi promises good fortune. Dated to the late 19th century, this table would have been used as a surface for viewing painted scrolls or as a musician's stand on which to play the qin, a traditional Chinese string instrument. Perfect as a coffee table or a wide bench, we love this table for its bold contours, minimalist form, and graphic use of negative space.

“I am particularly fond of PAGODA RED as we have known the family for so long. Betsy is a professional in every way and her intelligent taste comes from a long line of family knowledge in the arts. She and her team are the very best to work with and we find treasures with every visit!”
