With the help of traditional carpenters skilled in Chinese joinery, we reimagined this 19th century square corner cabinet from Northern China into its elegant tall and narrow form. The doors have extended dowels at the top and bottom that ingeniously fit into the frames, freeing the cabinet of the need for distracting surface hinges. Artisans skilled in the art of Chinese finishes brushed by hand countless coats of lacquer to achieve its quiet luster.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
