Tall Table with Hoof Feet

This exquisitely carved table has subtle features that beautifully exemplify Chinese furniture design from the late Ming period: the simplicity of line, overall form and complex joinery. Unusual about this table is the way the feet scroll inward and end in well-defined carved balls. The original finish has aged the elmwood beautifully, resulting in a washed out grey tone.
