Hohocam Bowl

The history of this rustic bowl informs its humble sculptural presence. The well of the bowl was left rough to scale fish. This practice left the interior with richly darkened wear patterns on the glaze, and a uniquely pebbled texture to the touch. The bowl is one piece from a collection of trade objects we recently acquired from one of our favorite artists. During his travels around the world, he purchased items whose stories, forms, finishes and culture would go on to inspire his later work. From that larger collection, we curated spirited items that inspire us and highlight the cross-cultural nature that defines PAGODA RED's design aesthetic.
