This gorgeous chest of drawers dates to the late-18th century and was crafted in the Queen Anne style with a walnut veneer, bracket feet, and a slightly overhung top. The top is crossbanded with walnut and a thin inset border of contrasting wood. The drawers are patterned with a similar crossbanding and adorned with ornate gilt drop handles and keyhole escutcheons. The veneered exterior boasts a richly aged patina, textured by a build up of minute blemishes and marks that provide surface intrigue and character. With timeless elegance and a luxurious finish, this five-drawer cabinet is a beautiful example of 18th-century English furniture design.

From the collection of Frances and Gary Comer.

Minor wrinkling of walnut veneer. Drawer interiors are possibly replacement.
