Charred Heartwood Bowl

This large wooden bowl was turned from a solid block of heartwood, the dense, innermost portion of a tree. The vessel has a rounded form, shaped with a tapered base, high shoulders and a shallow interior. The bowl has been stained dark for a matte black finish. Sculpted to preserve any burls, knots, and other irregularities in the wood, the bowl has an organic modern form that blends effortlessly into any interior.
