Charged with the humble task of storing dry goods, this small earthenware jar was hand-shaped in the early 20th century with balanced proportions and a beautifully irregular unglazed surface. The round jar has a tapered form with a narrow base, wide shoulders and a constrained neck flanked by two small strap handles. Accented by a minimalist rope handle, the jar has a quiet beauty, patterned only by firing imperfections and the brushed texture of its grey slip clay finish.

Andrea Goldman | Andrea Goldman Design

“Over the years, I’ve incorporated many pieces from PAGODA RED into my designs. Not only can they balance new furnishings (and often new construction) by feeling more established, but the pieces emanate a sense of rich history, often leaving you wondering where they were in a previous life. These beautiful pieces carefully hand-selected by the team at PAGODA RED, coupled with their unbelievable customer service, make them a must-have for any home.”
