Charged with the humble task of storing dry goods, this small earthenware jar was hand-shaped in the early 20th century with balanced proportions and a beautifully irregular unglazed surface. The round jar has a tapered form with a narrow base, high shoulders and a constrained neck flanked by two small strap handles. Left undecorated, the jar has a quiet beauty, patterned only by firing imperfections and the brushed texture of its speckled grey slip clay finish.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
