Deng Ying is a Beijing based artist who created an series of paintings on porcelain objects for Pagoda Red that includes this petite porcelain box painted with tea for many. In China, tea is an elixir for life, not just something to satisfy thirst. Tea is an art and a culture that offers people the chance to come together and appreciate. The artist worked on this series at the Chinese imperial kilns in Jingdezhen with the hope that these playful and symbolic objects would touch many. A small container in this shape would have traditionally been used to contain ink for an artist's seal stamp. Today, it is just right for jewelry or keepsakes. The box is signed and presented in a hand-made cushioned wood presentation box.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
