A charming example of provincial blue-and-white pottery, this petite lidded jar from the late Ming dynasty (1368-1644) is brushed with sweeps of dark blue atop a cool grey underglaze. The little jar is shaped with a round body and simple domed lid and shows its age beautifully, textured by a crackled finish and pitted wear.
