A glassy, blue-green glaze gracefully drips across the rounded body of this provincial kitchen pot, lingering beautifully on the low relief decoration to the jar's shoulders. Among the raised patterns are round chrysanthemum blossoms and stylized Shou characters (壽), both symbols of a long and fulfilling life. With its gorgeous crackled finish and luminous jade color, this green glazed jar is an ideal way to enliven a bookcase or countertop.
