Crazed Column

Removed of its structural context, this striking column of polished wood stands on its own as a striking work of sculpture. Made of northern elm, the timber has been turned into a seamless cylinder, painstakingly polished to call forth the wood’s irregular, mesmerizing wood grain. A square steel mount provides a sturdy, minimalist base.
