A collaboration between Austrian sculptor Michael Powolny (1871-1954) and art glass manufacturer Johann Loetz, this stunning vintage art glass set reflects Art Deco designs and perfected glass craftsmanship. Known for his contributions to the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements, as well as the 20th century revival of ceramic arts, Powolny's designs inspired Loetz to manufacture similar glassware with his signature 'Tango Glass' ornamentation. A term coined by Loetz himself, 'Tango Glass’ features a bold base color with stripes, rims, handles, and bases of piped glass in a contrasting dark color.

This four piece Tango Glass set produced by Loetz includes two bottles, one cup, and a shallow dish and features a red-orange opaque glass base with black piping. Shaped in the style of decanters or perfume bottles, the two hand-blown vessels are of bulbous shape with constrained necks and black glass stoppers. The cup and bowl complete the set with matching color and design. A timeless keepsake from the iconic Art Deco period, this art glass set brightens any interior with a pop of vibrant color.
