This six-sided ceramic teapot borrows its unusual shape from traditional wooden tea cosies. Used to keep hot tea warm, such tea cosies were crafted with removable lids and carrying handles secured to lug ears on either side of the opening. This stoneware teapot is colored by a beautiful blue-green glaze that drips down the sides and pools gently at the base. The luminous glaze is speckled with imperfections and has a glassy, crackled finish.

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
