Every so often we come across a rare piece of furniture that, even after centuries have passed, still evokes the life and personality of the original owner. Over 200 years ago this charming comb back chair was made in Jiangsu province for a young child. The low seat is the perfect height for a youngster. The notch built into the elmwood frame was designed to hold an umbrella—probably to protect the youngster from the sun.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
