The drum-form garden seat was a fixture of the Qing dynasty garden, used as a multipurpose space to rest one's feet or serve tea. This ceramic garden stool features convex sides encircled by billowing clouds enveloped in a vibrant turquoise glaze finish. The glassy, blue-green glaze drips down the sides with irregular movement, lingering beautifully within the contours of the low relief cloud pattern. The top of the seat is perforated with a coin motif, an ancient symbol of good fortune and prosperity. Ideal indoors or out, this seat would be a lovely addition to any garden, terrace, or sunroom.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
