Celestial Dragon Bi Disc

Jades have been cherished for thousands of years, with their rich heritage, beauty, and rarity. Jade Bi discs have been found in the tombs of ancient Chinese emperors and aristocrats, but their true meaning is still not clear. Usually they are associated with heaven and, at times, thought to be conduits for communication with ancestors. This disc was finely carved with abstract dragons and clouds, symbolizing heavenly power. Shaping this hard stone requires considerable skill. It is particularly striking mounted on our custom steel stand.
